To build the sculptures, I use a combination of found materials, made by someone unknown to me, with my own handwork. Antique pieces are often deconstructed, torn apart or cut, and then shaped to form something new. The sculptural object is related to the original, but it doesn't look or feel the same.
For me, this is the journey of memories. We have an enduring impression from the past, but what impacted us is not necessarily what others saw or remember from the same experience or what they see in the image I present.
